Five Small Business Entrepreneurs Make Big Impact

Five local entrepreneurs in Pinellas County have created a unique way to refresh the local small business community. This “Fab Five” group of entrepreneurs want to give a complete business makeover for a small business in the Pinellas County area. They know and understand what it’s like to run a small business during a challenging time and want to assist a business that may be in the market for an overall makeover. What does a business makeover look like? A combination of business consulting & coaching, marketing exposure, web development and new logos, photos, and branding.

The Fab Five is made up of five entrepreneurs; Donnie Hathaway of Palm Harbor Local, Jess Veguez of Jess Veguez Photography, Kaylin Ingram of Kay Coastal Designs, Maggie R. Butler of Local Union Consulting & Coaching, and ** Evelyn Dufner of My Computer Angel. Their compassion and love for their community and small businesses are what have inspired them to create this program. Hoping to give back, Maggie said.

These five entrepreneurs bring everything a small business could need, to the table. Maggie is co-founder of Local Union, a local business consulting and coaching firm helping small businesses reach their full potential. Donnie, a successful real estate agent and podcast creator, loves connecting with people in the local community and building relationships. All things which are important in business building. Jess, a portrait photographer here in Dunedin, has the eye and the skill to help a business revamp its brand and overall image. Kaylin, a Graphic Designer, and freelancer has the ability and the passion to assist in creating a whole new look and vibe that a business may need. Evelyn, a web developer in the Dunedin area, creates and rebuilds beautiful websites. She also offers website training to help clients take control once the website is launched.

This group of men and women have the skills and the heart to assist in any business’ makeover. The chosen business will spend one week with the Fab Five and receive business coaching and consulting, taking new photos, podcast insight, web design, graphic design, and more. “We are passionate about the small business community, so to be able to give back to the place we call home is something special,” says Donnie.

While the Fab Five would love to assist every business ever affected by Covid, there are a few things to qualify.

  • Must be a small business formed within the last 2 years; or a small business impacted by COVID-19
  • Must be located in Pinellas County

There are 2 ways a business can enter.

  1. The small business/owners can submit for themselves.
  2. A small business owner can nominate another small business that they know could use some help.

If you or someone you know would benefit and love to be a part of this opportunity for a business makeover, nominate them at www.BusinessMakeoverPinellas.com. You can follow along with their journey on Instagram @businessmakeoverpinellas.

** The above press release was adjusted and originally had Matthew Bert of Matt Bert Web as the 5th entrepreneur to contribute time to the business makeover efforts, however, for personal reasons needed to step out of the process. Evelyn Dufner, of My Computer Angel, quickly took on the task of supporting the winner of the 2021 Business Makeover with the rebranding of the Natural Awakenings website. She now continues to support the group with her contributions.
